We, a Årefamily, dreamt of a small cozy restaurant with checkered tablecloths, so when the premises in central Åre showed up we did not hesitate. We pulled on our carpenter clothes, figured and built. We found material in old storage rooms, put up fake mullion on the windows and so on. Yes, and that’s the way it is.
The year was 1996, and today we are still on the same address and has become an natural part of the Åre village. From our menu we serve both pizza and a ‘la carte with everything from tapas plate to reindeer fillet.
